From the Pastor’s Desk: I was blessed to be a part of a webinar today that included representatives from the Georgia Baptist Convention and Governor Brian Kemp’s office. Here’s the takeaway: the Governor’s office has NOT closed churches! Instead, Mr. Kemp has allowed the local governing bodies to be autonomous in dealing with social distancing, essential services, etc. Brad Hughes, the governor’s Public Relations officer indicated today that “drive-in” church was a valid option, with automobiles kept at safe distances. You may go to gov.georgia.gov for the latest executive orders, dph.georgia.gov, or coronavirus.gov for the latest information, and gabaptist.org/covid19 for updates concerning churches. Blessings, everyone. Bro. Kerry.
